If you follow other RSS feeds, not just Internet Marketing or Internet Business related feeds you may have spotted an article about a new type of activity that is being conducted by the BIG daddy of all registrars (no, not GoDaddy) but by Network Solutions.

This practice is known as DOMAIN NAME FRONT RUNNING or DNFR.
You see the problem here is that, you may not get the chance to snap that name up once it is released.
Here are two links (from WikiPedia) that talk about Network Solutions new process, and about DNFR:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name_front_running
- http://blog.domaintools.com/2008/01/network-solutions-steals-domain-ideas-confirmed/ - blog that explains, with images, the scope of the issue and dangers of this practice. Here is a quote from the sites blog entry:”However Network Solutions has now exposed those domains to Domain Tasters that will snipe those domain up milliseconds after Network Solutions deletes them”
